The Company

KODE Biotech Limited is a private company established in 1996 to commercialise KODE™ technology.

We have already licensed the technology to several large companies, and an example of a product incorporating KODE™ technology which is already in the market is Securacell™

KODE Biotech is an independent company, sited on the AUT University campus and has forged a strong symbiotic relationship with AUT’s Biotechnology Research Institute (BRI).

Management

Stephen Henry (Chief Executive Officer)

KODE Biotech Limited was founded in 1996 by Prof. Steve Henry, who continues to work as KODE Biotech’s CEO and also holds the role of Chief Scientific Officer. Steve is additionally a Professor at AUT University (Chief Executive - Biotechnology, Scott Laboratories and Director of the Biotechnology Research Institute, Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences). Steve has a strong research and management background holding PhD’s in Biochemistry (Auckland) and Medicine (Göteborg), plus other tertiary qualifications in science/laboratory medicine, education and business. He has published over 120 scientific articles, and is an inventor on more than 20 KODE™ Technology patent applications.

Laurel King (Laboratory Manager)

Laurel King joined KODE Biotech Limited in May 2007 as the Laboratory Manager. She manages the operational and administrative functions of the company. Laurel has significant administrative experience across a number of industries including banking, travel and accountancy.
